The Formation of the Income in Money and Kind

The gross product of the farm is the result of the labor expended by the farmers in the given year and of the labor involved in creating the part of the means of production, which has been expended. The labor of the collective farmers expended in the given year creates the gross income of the farm. Part of the gross income is distributed among the farmers according to labor; the other part which is created by the surplus labor of the farmers forms the net income of the farm. The income of the farm in kind consists of the part of the output that remains on the farm and goes to form the seed and fodder stock for the farm and of the part that is distributed among the fanners. Its cash income is obtained by the sale of produce to the state and cooperatives and on the open market. The cash income of farms increases in proportion to the growth in marketed produce. Since the state is the main consumer of the marketed produce, state purchasing prices are crucial importance for the farms.
