1. The aircraft is provided with a retractable tricycle landing gear with the nose leg. The landing gear main legs are in­stalled in the engine nacelles and are retracted forward into special compartments under the engines and exhaust pipes.

2. The nose leg is installed in the fuselage nose section and is also retracted forward into the compartment under the aircrew cabin. Such an arrangement of the landing gear en­sures emergency extensions of the landing gear nose and main legs without the hydraulic systems.

3. The landing gear legs in the extended and retracted positions are locked by mechanical locks which get opened by hydraulic cylinders and in emergency cases with the aid of a manual system. The landing gear wells, with legs extended or retracted are closed with doors. Due to the fact that with the landing gear extended the doors are always closed, neither dirt nor snow can get into the wells. Door opening and closing are accomplished by mechanisms which are kinematically connected with shock struts. The main legs are provided with twin wheels, tyres, disk brakes, and inertia transmitters of the automatic brake system.

4. The leading gear nose leg has two wheels with tyres. No brake is provided. To increase aircraft manoeuvrability and stability on the ground the поsе leg wheel can be turned by means of or take off and landing control systems.

5. The aircraft is provided with an electrical light and sound signaling system indicating gear position.
