A problem of choosing a career

That it is not an easy thing to make the right choice of your future career. Today there are thousands of different kinds of jobs, and new ones are constantly appearing. No wonder that young people become puzzled before making the final choice.

When choosing a future profession, we should consider different factors. First of all one should consider the values, interests and skills, in combination with certain personality traits, that can make some careers especially suitable for the person. Secondly when choosing a career, it makes perfect sense to choose one that is related to what you enjoy doing in your spare time, if you so desire. While salary is important, it isn’t the only factor you should look at when choosing a career. Also it’s good when you get satisfaction from your job. It is very important to choose a profession that suits your interests. In my opinion, a job should be interesting and socially important.

Some jobs are considered to be more suitable for men and others for women. For example, the professions of secretary or nurse are more suitable for women. A lifeguard or a pilot are more likely the jobs for men. You should also decide whether you want to work indoors or outdoors.

As for me, I haven’t decided yet which profession to choose. But I definitely will look for a job which is well-paid and socially important. I hope that my future job will correspond to my interests. I’m trustworthy, reliable enthusiastic and creative person. I also can work in team, make decisions and take responsibilities. Since now I am studying in the Pedagogical University. After graduating I may become a teacher. Though I haven’t decided yet, I consider the profession of a teacher as a noble one. At the same time it is very difficult and responsible one. The aim of a real teacher is to develop the character and to broaden the world outlook of the pupils. This makes teacher’s work of great importance.
