Methodical directions to conduct IWST on the subject "Mathematics" for students of the specialty 5V011000 –Physics, full-time education.

Methodical directions are composed on the basis of the curriculum of the discipline "Mathematics" for students of the specialty 5V011000 –Physics and curriculum of the Institute.

Methodical directions are aimed at expanding and updating the theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Methodical directions are approved and recommended for publication at the meeting of the department "Physics and mathematics" (Protocol № 1 from 27.08. 2015) and education methodical commission of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty (Protocol № 1 of 27.08.2015).

 

 

 

Introduction

Purpose and objectives of IWST on the course:

A leading purpose - the formation of educational and informative independence of students in accordance with the concept of the organization of independent work of students.

Objectives:

- in-depth study of selected topics and issues of the course;

- consolidate and development skills to work with various information sources (collection, processing, analysis);

- development of scientific - research work skills;

- realization of creative potential.

1. The mode and the format of students' independent work

suggests the implementation of some form of academic work:

1 learning lecture of the main problems of course, involving active work of students from the

lecture material (notes, discussion of problems with the teacher);

2 starting from the 2nd week of classes, lecture hours interspersed with practical exercises, where students make presentations after which is expected to discuss and questions to the speakers, which should demonstrate the ability to defend their position; select the materials for discussions and round tables, participate in debates and discussions;

3 in the middle of the course work is planned the written control in the form of test or control questions on the content of the lectures, in order to verify the assimilation of the obtained knowledge. Students within the independent work study some topics that are not included in the course content, or dealt with in a small volume.

In acco rdance with the concept of the organization there are the following types of IWST:
1. Current treatment of the material (CTM);

2. Educational research work (ERW).
