To be connected to the Internet, a computer must be присвоен a unique number, known as its IP (Internet Protocol) адрес. Other items in the URL give further details about the странице. For example, the string http определяет that a поисковик should use the http protocol, one of many TCP/IP protocols, to fetch the item. The string category/physcience.asp определяет a particular document.
