Common goals and methodical recommendations of IWS

Independent work on "Professional oriented foreign language " provides:

- a variety of forms and the methods providing active, creative judgment of the modern theory and practice (preparation for business games, problem discussion, imitating game to modeling of educational situations);

- independent studying of theoretical and methodical works, drawing up the bibliography, summaries and reviews on separate subjects (at the choice of the student);

- drawing up mini-dictionary of the basic concepts of discipline;

- development of psychological projects in mini-groups, with the subsequent presentation.

In the course of studying students gain the abilities connected with work on references:

- to be guided in historical and modern psychological literature (scientific, educational, methodical, psychological encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books), to use different sources of psychological information, to work in library with different types of catalogs and reference books;

- to select literature for a subject, to make out the list of references according to bibliography requirements;

- to allocate thoughts in the reference, to make the plan, theses, the abstract, to do extracts according to a subject of the message, the paper, the message, etc.;

- to make the performance plan at a seminar, discussion, a round table, to define logic, sequence, the argument of the positions, leaning on the studied literature;

- to reveal the different points of view in studied literature, to participate in discussion of questions, to reason the judgments.

Much attention is paid to development of creative abilities and self-educational activity of students:

- to analyze and creatively to interpret psychological situations and the facts;

- creatively to develop the fair brochure of the book on a psychological subject, the prospectus of the psychological magazine, to create the psychological essay on the chosen subject, to define a form of participation in the business game "Psychological Symposium", etc.;

- to formulate problem questions and to make psychological tasks according to a subject of a seminar or practical occupation;

- to make the personal plan route of self-education according to area of psychology and pedagogical interests.
