Heathrow airport near London is the busiest international airport in the world. Every day thousands of travellers arrive at Heathrow from many different countries. Every one of them has a different story to tell. They answered the question: Why are you here?

Maki and Koji are from Japan. “We are on our honeymoon. We booked holiday in advance. We got married last Saturday. We’re staying at the Hyde Park Hotel. Tomorrow we’re going a tour of London on a double-decker bus, and in the evening we’re seeing a show. Then on Tuesday we’re going to Oxford and Cambridge, on Wednesday we’re flying to Edinburgh. After London we’re going to Paris by train and then to Rome.

Television brings the world in our life. It helps us to understand people from other countries, to know their customs and traditions. One can find TV-programs for children, teenagers, for sport fans.There are many kinds of television programs and television channels in our country. The number of them increases constantly to meet all the tastes and needs of the viewers.

Television is the great entertainment and propaganda machine. With the increasing number of TV- programs the number of TV-viewers is also regularly increases. And their tastes are also increase and change. That is why TV-channels try to attract viewers with the help of different shows or interesting programs. Apart from their entertainment value, they provide useful topics of conversation.

“Medicines and health”

"A n apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Taking medicine is an unpleasant thing of course, and if we want to avoid it, we should go in for sport and keeps ourselves fit. If your health is good, you are always in a good mood.

I remember one of my most serious illnesses. It was four years ago. Early in the morning I woke up and felt dizzy and feverish. I had a terrible headache and cough. My nose was running, I was sneezing all the time. I could hardly recognize my own voice. Besides, I had a high temperature. I was taken to the hospital.

The doctor prescribed me tablets and promised me full recovery within two weeks.
