Danone – one of the big companies in RK





 

Being, in fact, really global company presented in 120 countries of the world, "Danone" has shown interest in activity in Kazakhstan in connection with stable development of the country and prospects on the future.

Having weighed all pros and cons, "Danone" has made the strategic decision on an entry into the Kazakhstan market and construction of own plant which has been put into operation in Almaty region in the settlement of Bayserka on June 1, 2010. Plant the company was managed by Danone Berkut LLP operates.

From now on production of "Danone" has stopped being foreign import and became a "domestic" product which has occupied "niche" in the market.

More than 17 million euros have been invested in construction of above-mentioned plant "Danone", and about 200 workplaces which in the long term will increase to 300 have been as a result created. Annual capacity of plant makes 14 thousand tons of sour-milk production a year.

At Danone plant the highest standards of environmental protection are observed – production objects are designed with application of the last ecological technologies of processing and storage of raw materials, there are treatment facilities, an autonomous boiler room, a fire extinguishing system, refrigerators and many other things.

Arrival to Kazakhstan of such grandee as "Danone", on the one hand, is the important proof of achievement of the country, with another, a signal for other global food manufacturers to arrange the production in the local market which also serves today as the bridge on the market of the countries of the Customs union and Central Asia where more than 200 million people in total live.

Construction of Danone plant in Kazakhstan is still support of local farmers and country farms as the company carries out uninterrupted purchase of raw materials from which in the subsequent high-quality production for the good of people is made.

Following the results of 2012. The Almaty plant "Danone" has mastered release of 42 names of sour-milk production under the Aktivia, Rastishka and Danone brands.

On May 2, 2013 at the Almaty plant "Danone" the company has put into operation the new production line of release of traditional sour-milk production under the Prostokvashino and Bio Balance trademarks.

Following the results of 2013 the plant has mastered release of 58 names of sour-milk production under the Aktivia, Rastishka, Danone, Prostokvashino and Bio-Balans brands.

Quality and safety

Quality and safety of products of Danone Group of companies in Kazakhstan it is provided with 4 principles:

1) High quality of milk

· Before work with any farm the analysis of her state and keeping of cows is carried out;

· Only those farms which are equipped with the modern equipment are selected;

· Further planned audits of a farm for milk quality control (feeding, milking, check of health of cows) are carried out;

· Milk on a farm is cooled within 2 hours after milking and stored at a temperature of +4 °C.

· Before loading of milk in the car the test for an antibiotic undertakes;

· Temperature not above +4 °C is maintained in all milk tankers;

· From a farm to plant milk is delivered within from 1 to 10 hours (depending on remoteness of a farm);

· Every time after milk delivery milk tankers pass a sink.

· At plant daily, at each acceptance of milk occurs:

· Analysis of 17 quality indicators of milk (repeated test for lack of antibiotics, soda, for quantity of somatic cages and others);

· If milk doesn't correspond to these parameters, it isn't accepted.

 

2) Application of modern technologies and respect for purity on production

· Production is computerized and happens in the closed cycle from the moment of milk acceptance that allows to exclude hit of alien substances and microorganisms in a ready-made product at all production phases;

· All production is packed up in sterile packing;

· The strict requirements to observance of rules of food safety on production are observed.

3) Strict quality control

· All production passes a set of levels of quality control at each production phase;

· Before revenues to a warehouse from each party control samples which go to laboratory where take microbiological tests and check for organoleptic properties are selected;

· Only after specialists of laboratory will make all tests and for 100% will be sure of quality of a ready-made product, the party goes to shops.

 

4) Observance of a cold chain (+4 °C (+/-2 °C) at all stage: from production to a product in shop.
