Massey-Ferguson has taken an impressive lead in combine design. The latest models have been designed to the highest standards. They have heavily built and extremely robust¹ chassis. Body panels are zinc plated to minimize corrosion and ensure² long life.

Massive rolled steel, heavy vehicle type chassis forms an inflexible backbone³ while providing excellent weight distribution. Even with a low centre of gravity, the machine features excellent ground clearance. It is sure-footed⁴ on hillsides even when conditions are not ideal.

The heart of the new combine is a powerfully built cylinder. It is capable of swallowing enormous volumes of crop in very thin and even layers. It has all range of speeds needed for threshing performance. The optional torque sensing device and anti-slip system automatically adjust the pressure of the variator pulley on the belt so that cylinder speed is maintained in varying conditions. The concave, equally heavily built is adjusted front and rear by a single lever. With ample straw-walker area the crop always progresses⁵ in a thin layer so that, even at high outputs, grain is separated from straw with the greatest efficiency. The completely new sieve design enables the sieves to be easily handled, yet provides a good separation area. The grain table on these combines is large and easy to operate and can handle all types of crop. The table and crop elevator can be reversed from the driver's seat. Hydrostatic transmission as standard equipment provides easy operation and excellent manoeurability for pinpoint positioning to save valuable time. This machine will give long service and reliability.
