Музыкальное стекло
Мэри Элизабет любила музыку. Она была счастлива, когда слышала прекрасные звуки. Она ждала, чтобы услышать пение птиц за окном весной. Она слушала песни сверчка, когда она подметала каменную плиту под очагом на кухне своей матери. Лошади, проходящие мимо магазина её папы издавали цокающий звук. И это было тоже песней для Мэри Элизабет. Эти песни наполняли её сердце радостью.
У Мэри Элизабет было только одно желание. Она хотела создать свою собственную музыку. Она не умела хорошо петь. Её брат, Мэттью, говорил: "Ты поёшь как кошка Нана, когда ей наступили на хвост." Она очень любила музыку. Почему же она не могла создать свою собственную музыку?
Мэри Элизабет знала, куда пойти, когда ей было грустно. Её дядя Бен Франклин всегда мог заставить её улыбаться. Лучший из всех, дядя Бен любил музыку так же, как Мэри-Элизабет. Однажды утром, Мэри Элизабет стояла за мастерской дяди Бена. Она слышала, как он напевал себе под нос. Она знала, что что-то забавное должно было произойти. Подождите минутку. У них дужки, которые держали стёкла, были отломаны. Что же делал дядя Бен? Дядя Бен увидел недоумение на лице Мэри Элизабет. "Ну, иди сюда певчая птичка", сказал он. "Я покажу тебе, как мы можем создать прекрасную музыку. Мы будем использовать то, что поломано. Мы можем превратить это во что-то хорошее."

For example, you can watch different films, read books, find anything you need. There are many advantages of the Internet. You can use the Internet at home for personal usage. Also you can create your own homepage, tell other users about your interests, what you want, that’s no problem at all. You can create new social contacts all over the world, which you could not do so easy without the Internet. Such communities can also help people who can not go out to find friends in the real life because they are disabled. Therefore they can chat with other people via the Internet. Moreover the Internet is much cheaper than the real life, e.g. phoning a friend in Australia costs more than to chat with him. There are no time and place limitations and there are no boundaries, both geographical and political. You can also place your digital photos in the Internet. With a password and a login name your friends in England can look at your photos without sending them to them. You can play on-line games with people from all over the world and share your knowledge. It’s more exiting to play with friends than playing alone. Free software, free music is available on the Internet. You just have to download the program, the mp3-file or whatever and that’s it. In my opinion, the Internet makes our life easier, that's why it is so popular. - Moreover, students often use the Internet in their studies too. They use this kind of medium to get information about all kinds topics. It is very convenient to check many sources of information at the same time, you can also download special programmes for creating projects or presentations. Whatever they are looking for, they will find it in a short time. Online reference books and dictionaries replace the way to the bookshop or to the library. Many universities and research institutions are linked via Internet. They are able to exchange experiences, novelties and often they start new projects together. - Nevertheless, Internet could be dangerous. A lot of teenagers are addicted to the on-line games, so they do not care about anything except their virtual reality. The most negative aspect of the impact of the Internet on our daily life is, in my opinion, that it alters the social behaviour, habits and abilities. There are many things which are not suitable or harmful. Especially children are often badly influenced by the Internet. Parents must keep an eye on their children and do not let them to become a victim of technologies. |
